Take a moment every day to write down three things you’re grateful for. Whether it’s first thing in the morning or at the end of the day, keep a notepad and pen next to your bed and write it down. If you want to do something a little different, you can do a gratitude jar instead that you can fill with little strips of paper expressing what you’re thankful for each day.  It can be people you’re grateful to have in your life, a warm meal you enjoyed, or simple words of kindness from a stranger.

BE MINDFUL
Another thing you can do is practice mindfulness. This is something that doesn’t have to take any extra time out of your day, instead take your usual routine, retrain your brain to be present, and soak in the here and now. Our minds tend to be swarming with thoughts while we do our everyday tasks. You might be doing the dishes and multi-tasking in your mind, planning out coordinating outfits for family photos, or overanalyzing a conversation from the night before. Practicing mindfulness helps to reduce stress, improves your sense of well-being, and can even help your immune system too.
